The NASA Championships allow competitors from all over the country to battle for the most coveted National Champion title in their respective classes at one of the most demanding and prestigious road courses in the country. For drivers, this will be a unique opportunity to measure their skills against the best of the best. Spectators will have a chance to see the finest racing action NASA has to offer as well as the opportunity to participate in special events throughout the week designed to give them a taste of the action.
This week-long event will also include peripheral activities such as manufacturers Auto X, Tech Seminars, Go Kart racing, Kids Activities, Exhibition Auto X/Rally X, Drifting, Remote Control Car Racing and Slot Car Racing, Food, Concerts, Drive-in Movies and much more.

MAZDA SUPPORTS NASA
"The cornerstone of MAZDASPEED is the hardcore enthusiast, and there is no better place to see this than a NASA race where Mazda is the vehicle of choice," noted Steve Sanders, MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development Competition Manager.
Regarding Mazda's considerable contingency support in NASA club racing, Sanders continued, "We have committed $90,000 in contingency prize money to all NASA classes where Mazdas are eligible to compete.

Did you Know?
The 2010 season was the first of Goodyear’s five-year agreement to be the exclusive tire supplier for The Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear. The series is a NASA officially sanctioned series, and features regional championships as well as a national championship.
The series features three different Mazda powered/Goodyear equipped racecars including the FormulaSPEED2.0.
Bob Shaffer of Goodyear Racing has this to say about the partnership, "We are very optimistic about the future of the new FormulaSPEED2.0 car. We see a lot of growth potential, as evidenced by our five-year agreement. Goodyear has a long history with Mazda-powered concepts and we are pleased to see that history continue.”
